The original high point of the Cumberland EPIC 979. The elevation marker on the map reads 979m, although the viewpoint just south of this is 16m above at 995m. This section of trail runs along the top ridge past the weather station (stay off), and descends past multiple spectacular views of the comox glacier, forbidden, Mount Washington and across to the sunshine coast. This is Cumberland highest trail and it sure does do wonders for your ‘instagram’. This is a gravity trail meaning foot traffic yield to bikes.

Running great! More damp than the lower trails. Roots are coming out and it will evolve. The ruts are part of the process, not a problem.
