Totally agree with previous reviewer — take the road. This is an old road bed so fairly flat and boring — it’s certainly more shady than the road so if you want shade, this may work for you. Having said that, you may have winter views of Fawn Lake from this trail when the leaves are down — but in summer pretty boring!

Just take the road. At least you get a close view of the lake if you take the road.
