This 6 mile family friendly trail Is a mix of Gravel/dirt road and primitive Cranberry Mountain singletrack. With more than 500 feet of elevation range, the trail still maintains a gentle average grade of 3% making it ideal for less experienced riders. The road is a mellow ride and can be ridden both ways or as an "out-and-back", but its more commonly traveled east to west from the KMT/Dogway side. In this direction it's mostly downhill. If you're connecting this to other trails, or even if you're just creating an out-and-back there is some required climbing.
There are a few ways to access this trail. From Kennison Mountain Trail Parking off of North Fork Cherry Highway, head northwest up the KMT 1.2 miles to find Frosty Gap Trailhead on the left. To avoid the KMT(Kennison Mountain Trail), go up Dogway Road, off of North Fork Cherry Highway (Hwy 39). Park at the area with two metal gates. West is Frosty Gap Road, which turns to singletrack after four miles. The other end of the trail merges/splits off of Pocahontas Trail.
