    Vail Lake Resort

This is an alternate option to the West Ridge at Vail Lake Resort. This trail is on a private KOA campground and is subject to the property operating hours. There are races on these trails in the early MTB season - recommend calling to ensure the trails are open for public use. This trail has a couple of deceptive climbs - short and very steep - that make the rider maintain the right gears and momentum or else end up hopping off mid-slope to push to the top. A couple sections are subject to erosion and not frequently repairs or maintained - recommend a cautious first run to pick the best line.
