This is a really enjoyable trail. Beginning from Rogers Lake, it climbs in either direction, through a nice variety of open and treed areas. The clockwise climb feels a little steeper, though both climbs have a few rocky stair-steps to get up and over. The top of the trail intersects with the Rogers Lake Connector from Ft Tuthill and the Loop Trail. Downhill (either direction) is nice swoopy fun. The trees open up in several places for good views of the peaks and the caldera.

      All clear, CCW was the way to ride. I do not not the backstory to that water collection and shelter, but seems to be a waste of money for where it is.

      Rode CCW from Rogers Connector. The long downhill makes the climb back up worth it (for reference, up the south side felt less exhausting than climbing the switchbacks section of the connector on the way to this loop).

      A solid blue intermediate trail. However lots of the decents feel like you're on a hiking trail, ie turns banked the wrong way, loose rocks in sharp corners... But it's still a fun ride, with fantastic views. I would say riding the northern trail down, or counter-clockwise is a faster and consistent grade. The southern trail has shorter steep sections and a long gentle grade. Better for climbing imo.

      Combined with the connecter, you end up climbing and descending 1200 ft which is a nice alternate to other flag area downhills.
