Rode this with my husband this afternoon. Took 1h45. Lots of fire road riding/ climbing with a small number of single track fun descents nothing too technical. Diversions in place are well signposted. Really pretty forest with barely anyone else about!

For context I am an XC rider, I turned up to this trail with low expectations based on the comments. I agree, there is a lot of climbing on the fire roads and yes I would suggest around 40% of trails are closed. However, you can see the effects of the storm - the number of fallen trees around as you make your way from the car park. It is a mammoth task to clean if all up.
The trails are pretty good, the riding is hard but for XC riding it is nice to spin the legs on the climbs.
I will be returning, I was able to get enough fun to forgive the gravel roads.

Great trail but huge sections are closed, unfortunately the signage isnt the best and I ended up backtracking and hike a biking for quite a distance
