The Gorrell Track is an old forestry track linking the Mena Ck area to the Sutties Gap Roap near South Johnstone Forestry Camp. It is part of the Misty Mountains Trail network. Surface is alternately sandy, rocky, muddy and the region gets lots of rain. The elevation gain is significant regardless of direction and the location is remote, take additional spares and consider an epirb. Leeches, Stinging Trees and Wait-a-While are significant hazards. The downhills are fast and technical due to rocky surface and the climbs range from easy to very difficult. The creek crossings can be deep and the causeways hazardous.
