Use this open and clear access road to avoid wet sections of Upper Captain Blacklock and Lower Captain Blacklock in the wet season. After descending Bootlegger, take Swam Pass Bypass and continue climbing the gravel road to the intersection with Hollerback Trail. Park outside the gate at the top (keeping gate clear of vehicles) and follow the Gorse Road down to the left to access Bootlegger or Hollerback Trail. This road is used for go-arounds, adding more miles to your XC ride, and maintenance access. Can get overgrown with Gorse at the lower sections.

From West Beaver Hill Road, continue passed Whiskey Run Road 1 mile, gate is on the left. Please DO NOT BLOCK GATE.
