A brutal climb or a rippin’ descent, Green Lake is filled with booter roots and rocks, weaving through the pines and aspens. Bonus? The beautiful high Alpine lake at the tippy top in the bowl of Axtell Mountain. Leave from town and get an Alpine escape as a reward for all the hard uphill.

Grueling climb, but fast flowy descent. Locals ride, not much traffic on this trail compared to others in the area.

This trail is an awesome downhill, fast and an absolute blast. . Doesn’t look like it would be fun riding up. I went up Baxter Gulch, a grind, but manageable. If your not acclimated, which I wasn’t, it’s tough. Green lake is a beautiful spot. I wish I had brought some clear lenses. I rode the downhill about 4pm and it’s pretty dark in spots.
