Hung Down is a downhill MTB-specific trail with steep berms, rollers, wood bridges, rock gardens, and optional gap jumps built in 2026 by the Greater Portland Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association, utilizing the machine-built artistry of Max Southam & the Mt. Abram Trail Crew and GPNEMBA volunteers. It is GPNEMBA's first mountain bike-specific trail partnership with Presumpscot Regional Land Trust and Windham Parks & Recreation.
Hung Down construction was funded by over 150 GPNEMBA donors and the support of the Maine MTB Trail Fund.
Remember that everywhere else you ride in Lowell Preserve is multi-use trail -- please yield to slower users
