Rode the whole trail system today from end to end. A great example of using what Mother Nature gives you and making the best of it. Coastal NC does have much elevation but the builders used every little sand mount and hill side to their advantage. Lots of little woops, digging and sagging lines, tiny drops and roots to keep things interesting. The blue section that’s after the road crossing has a little more elevation and the switchbacks give you some short climbs followed by some quick little downhill patches. Overall fun trail for the area. If you push fast you’ll get your heart rate pumping for sure. Go early to avoid some of the summer heat. Thanks.
