Al comienzo del sendero abajo, cuando va a llegar a una pequeña balsa (se ve su muro), ahí se puede optar por subir directamente a la balsa (hay que empujar 10 m) o bien desviarse, siguiendo el trail, hacia la izquierda, para esquivar ese tramo. Cuando llega a una parte abierta, es interesente ir y volver por la campa hasta el borde, para ver todo el enorme bosque de roble marojo.
En la parte ya superior hay que ir mirando el trail ya que hay alguna otra variante del sendero que se cierra.
