Klahowya is a main artery between the canyon and the Sander Lake. It offers riders a fast pedal through forested terrain. Expect rooted and loamy soil along a winding trail. The loamy soils will be muddier on wet days - on these days you could use Wapiti Ridge (which also travels between the canyon and Sander Lake) for somewhat drier terrain.
As of fall 2016, Klahowya now runs all the way to Sander Lake from the canyon. What used to be the west side of Ptarmigan Trot has been incorporated into Klahowya as part of a naming re-configuration by GCC in an attempt to ease navigation for new users.
