Double track/4-wheeler path to the basin below Lionhead but does not go on top of Lionhead. Very steep and loose at times. The Lionhead basin is beautiful, but if the goal is to get on top of the mountain take the CDT trail instead.
Motor users, the trail on the MVUM is #217, which continues around to the south at the junction with the faint singletrack.

Wrote this on August 27, 2023. Very steep uphill‘s and pretty loosen spots. We only went 3 miles up but it was a super fun downhill. Kind of scary to be in beer country but carry your beer spray close.
