This trail begins as a gentle singletrack, which can be muddy at times, just north of the warming hut at a signed entrance. The middle section shares its doubletrack alignment, and the single small hill, with Interstate Trail. Shortly beyond the top of the hill, it branches off to the left on a wide singletrack that crosses Bill Albert's Trail and connects to Lippo's Loop. This section is smooth graded for groomed cross country skiing, but is a good introduction to riding in the woods.
The warming hut is open 24/7 to provide shelter from inclement weather, including a wood burning stove for heat. Pit toilets are adjacent. No overnight camping.
Due to the nature of the soil and the ridge top location these trails should be avoided after it has recently rained. This a also a great place to cross country ski in the winter since the Laurel Ridge gets more snow than anywhere else Trails are closed to biking during snow cover. See www.paccsa.org/lmwebcam for webcam. This trail is groomed for xc skiing
