Named after Tom Malone, a UAF forest researcher for 31 years, conducting forest growth and yield work throughout central Alaska, from the southern slope of the Brooks Range to Ninilchik, and including the Rosie Creek area. He generously volunteers his time on forestry issues, and has served as the Chair of the TVSF Citizens’ Advisory Committee for 12 years.
