mtb On December 31, a small dog was killed by a cougar in the lower Montane/Castle area. This is the second such incident in the area over a few week period. Cougars can range very far so exercise caution on trails in the entire area. Unknownview

mtb Trail maintenance completed on MARLU May 9-11 (below Hut to Cokato Road) to repair extensive erosion issues. Some soft wet spots but should be generally rideable after a day of sunshine. Variableview

mtb Lots of snow just below the Hut, but it's fine below where Blue crosses it. The teeter totter section is good but then the switchbacks up are packed with snow. Jojo is fine over to lower Blue, but Blue has big sections of lots of snow beyond that. Freeze/thaw Cycleview
