Mezza Strega

Mezza Strega sounds like it should be a mystical, flowing descent through Tuscany—half witch, half magic, full send. In reality, it is mostly half hiking path, half loose rock quarry, with the magical part being how quickly it turns your bike ride into a hot, dusty hike-a-bike session.
The views are genuinely great. They are also the main reason you will stop repeatedly—partly to admire the scenery, partly to reconsider why you brought a mountain bike instead of hiking boots, trekking poles, and perhaps an exorcist.
The beginning is very rocky, loose, and awkward, with very little rhythm or flow. Rather than a proper MTB trail, Mezza Strega feels like an old walking path that was briefly informed it might see bicycles one day and decided it strongly disagreed. Add the heat, and every loose stone becomes a small personal test of faith.
As a descent, it is not particularly fun and offers almost no flow. As a connector, though, it does its job: it connects one place to another—just not necessarily your tyres to the ground, your legs to any remaining energy, or your expectations to reality.
Verdict: nice panorama, questionable trail. Ride it only if you need the connection; otherwise, let Mezza Strega keep its witchcraft for the hikers

Fantastic 360° view on the top. The rest of it would even bore my dog to death. We used it as a connection to Vignola -> fair enough
