The Trincerone is not a very technical trail but where it is possible to reach high speed, so it is good to have a lot of attention.
This trail can be done in two versions, the first "long one" is taken by climbing the first part of the Buca del Bandito trail (be careful you have to cross an asphalted road to get into the second part), the second "short" one takes from the road asphalt of Volterraio. The trail passes under the ruins of the Volterraio castle, a tower which in the past was used to defend against pirate attacks.
