This is the perfect trail for riders who have mastered off road basics and want to step up to a custom track and hone new skills. It is the ideal run for experienced riders looking to help friends and family progress.

With the trail sloping gently downhill from the start riders can learn and capture the special sensation of “flow”. Relaxing on the pedals and developing the subtle art of letting the bike and gravity do the hard work through the rolls and berms.

The four high banked curving berms are the highlights of the 800 metre course designed to be taken at any speed yet still be fun. We have kept the course short but packed with constantly changing challenges to give riders the maximum opportunity to develop their confidence and techniques. There is only a short climb on a tarmac path back to the trail head. An information board at the start gives all the details of the route.

The trail is on the doorstep of Barrhead and within easy reach of south Glasgow, Paisley and Newton Mearns. It is a 1 mile cycle from Barrhead train station and 1 ½ miles from Neilston Station. There is parking on Springfield Road next to the St Luke’s High School. The trail is open all year
