A mix of single and double track, Miners is usually used as a climbing trail to get to the Redtop trail. The trail is minimally technical and what it lacks in interest it delivers in efficiency as it provides the quickest route to upper Redtop from the town of Rossland ... the trail is steep and at times unrelenting Take a moment to enjoy the viewpoint halfway to the top.

The intersection of Miners and Redtop is the defining mark between Upper Redtop and Lower Redtop.

Access Info

Accessed by taking Moe's and connecting to Larry's - Miners starts at the summit of Larry's (from either direction).

Miners intersects Redtop and divides it into upper and lower redtop. Trail users can either choose to either descend Lower Redtop or climb Upper Redtop towards Red Mountain Summit and the Redhead descent.

Shoulder season conditions, shallow compact snow & ice with lots of exposed rock. Not great for studded tires but if you have a fat bike, now...

My friend and I rode down Miners as we rode up from Blue Elephant and Redtop Lower. All the locals ride up this trail to get to Redtop Upper. So, there can be tons of traffic going up. Going down on this is meh, especially when there's a lot of traffic going up. Since this is predominately a climbing trail, it's not really technical going down. It's also short and wide.

Great climbing trail to get to red top. Some fairly steep sections that will get your heart pumping. Make sure to stop at the viewpoint and drink something.

As a beginner, I found this trail quite steep, but it's good practise (and work out).

Great trail for climbing and looked fairly fun for a descent. We rode when it was very wet, and there were only a couple small puddles. A lot of attention to drainage has been used on this trail. As with all the trails in this area. Nice work KCTS
