The trail starts in Garland Park and for the first section there is no distinct path. Follow the west bank of the small stream up the gully. The trail becomes visible at the end of the maintained grass and then enters a treed area and crosses two small bridges over the stream before reaching an intersection with the Perry Park trail. The grade steepens a bit and the trail climbs up to a tunnel underneath Hillview Way and ends after joining the sidewalk on the east side of the road.
