Steep, and built with sustainability in mind with short fall lines and many drains. Although it is a little easier than Upper Vics, which is just up the hill, Motoraxe has a few spots of minor exposure where you don't want to leave the trail on the left or you may go for a tumble into the gully. At the bottom, Eco Mode will help you get up to the next group of trails.

      This trail was built to be a slightly easier alternative to Upper Vics which it is. The reason the sign says “No Strava” wasn’t to hide the trail. It was to make sure the trail wasn’t ridden for the first time like a flow trail. There are features on it which aren’t designed to be approached with speed. The trail is a tribute to Steve Smith, Motörhead and the logging industry on Burke Mountain.

      I can't compare it to BD, as I have only seen (many) videos of that one, but I have hiked Motoraxe to get a sense of it, and it is deserving of its ◆◆ rating. It does have islands of safety, unlike some of the (shh) fall-line
      loamers at Burke. It's very steep, with plenty of tricky sections, but the biggest danger is the exposure on the rider's left. It is a very steep and deep ravine.

      I've been meaning to ride this trail but now Il have to wait till spring, but I want to know what the trail is like. Does it resemble a DH race trail or is it like bullet dodger without all the marbles?
