This loop is an extension of the Centennial Loop that splits off to the east towards Moundhouse. Usually ridden counterclockwise, the grades are generally mellow and it is not very technical, other than a couple of tight switchbacks. Depending on the day of the week and the time of day, you may be able to catch a view of the V and T Railroad Train as it heads between Carson City and Virginia City. There is no trail signage and, depending on use, portions of the trail can sometimes be overgrown or covered with tumbleweeds. The majority of the trail is on BLM land; there is often a herd of wild horses in the area, use caution when approaching them and if needed modify your route.
