Local favorite hike with easy access and amazing views. The trail itself starts tame like most, with a steady ascent that is relatively steep and unrelenting. Bring your climbing legs and even a bit of arm strength at the top as you scramble to the final summit. This hike is popular because it is one of the most recognizable mountain tops from all of Salt Lake Valley. If you are visiting, you have to climb it right.
It is easily accessible and close to town, with a nice trailhead right on Wasatch Boulevard. While there are no big water bodies, you can get to it without driving up the canyon
