A multi use trail on NYS Forest Preserve land with a mix of double and single track. The first half of the trail is moderately rugged double track. When you reach the state trail marker for Nelson Lake / Remsen Falls, stay left continuing to Nicks Lake. At a second State trail marker for Remsen Falls, stay stay left and descend a very steep double track with ruts and loose rocks. Only experienced, expert riders should ride this steep section.
At the bottom of the steep grade, the trail turns onto a scenic bridge crossing Nicks Stream. After crossing the bridge, the trail transitions to very rooty, somewhat technical single track. Eventually, this somewhat challenging single track section reaches another bridge with a view to the Nicks Lake beach & picnic area. From the beach, picnic area follow the access road back to Bisby Road.
