This trail starts up on the ridge, crosses through large meadows before splitting down to the creek at about the tree line. It can be difficult to find the trail as it enters the forest. If you overshoot, you'll wind up in a cowboy camp in a meadow.

After crossing the creek, the trail climbs again up to another ridge, for an epic run down.

The trail finishes at the road crossing. NOTE: Trails below the road are on private land. The owner has posted "no trespassing" signs. Please respect these. Options to bring the trail back to Tyax Lodge and bypass the private land are being considered.
