Old 96er (AKA Gully DH) starts out with a steep descent and hard right into even steeper descent and step-up. The trail curves to the left for a wooden dock drop. Trail has a fast roller-coaster feel, with gulley walls as berms, several jumps and interesting transitions. Very little pedaling is required on this until the end when the rider will find a steep uphill to reconnect to the main XC Loop trail.
Highly recommend all riders to walk first or ride with caution your first time to make sure you've got your berm transitions sorted - this trail can carry a lot of speed.
Shortcuts can be used to loop this section. Or the rider can also easily make a figure eight loop using the drop at PB&J.
Steep and fast trail. Please use caution and pre-ride the trail first.
