Start up La Fortunes Flight, then turn off where it crosses the fire road.

The trail starts with a series of exhausting switchbacks through the forst. Once you get to the top, you're ready for Moscow Mountain's longest and (in my opinion) best downhills, full of switchbacks, flow sections and the longest wooden bridges on the planet. You'll end up back on the road, about .5 miles above your car.

Access Info

Drive up Moscow Mountain Road until you hit the gate (closed to vehicles November - April, and occasionally to all access during particularly high fire danger), then continue about a mile until you see a parking area off to the right. You can get to the start of Private Lands a number of ways, riding up the road, riding up the bottom part Private Lands and turning off onto the cabin trail, riding up to the top of the mountain and coming down the jump trail, etc.
