The Prince Edward Park trails are a trail network located on the North Shore of the Bay of Islands. It is a shorter network of trails within the park boundary that has a variety of singletrack ranging from fairly wide walking trails to more narrow trails that are handlebar width. It has a variety of trail conditions that consists of sometimes wet, rooty and slipper sections with a couple descents.
The trail network is primarily a walking and hiking trail, and is often used by tourists and local campers alike. Please use caution when using this trail and give pedestrians right-of-way. The loop is a great early-season ride as the snow melts fairly early, allowing riders to ease their way back into the riding season.
Cross the Ballam Bridge at Riverside Drive, and continue across the bay for a few minutes until you approach Prince Edward Park on your left. You can park near the entrance at the gate, but please do not block access to the park as the road is well traveled by motorists and those towing larger 5th wheel campers.
This is a multi-use trail - please give right of way to hikers!
