Retsinades trail has taken its name from the resin man, a nearly lost profession that was practiced in the area. There are clear sings of the scaring of the pine trees, together with stone constructions used as shelters for the people that worken in the forest. The name of the trail is a tribute to these man that practiced a hard profecion in difficult conditions but also the were guardians of the forest performing maintenance tasks together with building access trails.
Trail difficulty is red to black.
The trail has 5 sections:
1) Is the begging of the trail, open flow, low vegetation, be carreful in the cross junction with the Epetiako trail. There is good visibility even in the junction.
2) The rumple section. The trail goes through rumbles excavated from the local mines in a wave direction. Be carefull passing next to the big rumble pile, there is big exposulre to a clif like slope.
3) The flow trail section of the trail. Nice flow trial style with features (rollers, jumps, small drops, shark fin rollers, switchback) inside the forest.
4) The drops section of the trail. Comming from a 15 metter mellow uphill you find 4 consecutive drops. Only the third drop has not a chicken run so you have to commit. After the drops section you arrive to a chute were there is a 3 line choice. In the end of the chute there is a creek were there is an option to jump or pump from the side. Both the take off and landind are in a carving line. The landing catches you with a nice berm that will keep your momentum.
5) By the end of section 4, you find again a 10 metter mellow uphill. This will take you to the last section. Nice bench cut single track with 2 jumps will get you to the fire road.
This trail can be combined with Ekremes and Roloi trail.

Access Info

The begining of the trail is situated within the roloi trial (a.k.a. trilogia). As soon as you enter the roloi and after the first 90 degrees right, you find on your right the entrance. Entrance is easy to spot and ride throught.

Section 5 of the trail is still under construction. Be carefull, there is still some off camber uncut trail that needs to be bench cut together with the exit of the trail into the fire road
