This is a segment of old ranch road traversing from near the Antonovitch parking area into the upper part of Devil's Canyon. The first part of the road is maintained for the private ranches in the area.
From Browns Canyon Road, a traverse and rocky descent lead past a corral into a well-shaded canyon. A steep climb leads to another, much older corral where the trail goes left, on ungraded roadbed, and traverses into Devil's Canyon.
This area is 'open range' so expect to see some livestock at times.

They (dogs) can be intimidating. I stood my ground, and they became confused, then befriended me. YMMV

This trail is a way to get to Johnson Motorway but watch out for dogs guarding the horse property. They will chase you and I'm not sure if they are friendly. Super loose sand in a lot of spots.
