This is a segment of old ranch road traversing from near the Antonovitch parking area into the upper part of Devil's Canyon. The first part of the road is maintained for the private ranches in the area.

From Browns Canyon Road, a traverse and rocky descent lead past a corral into a well-shaded canyon. A steep climb leads to another, much older corral where the trail goes left, on ungraded roadbed, and traverses into Devil's Canyon.

This area is 'open range' so expect to see some livestock at times.

Vicious dogs! A friend was attacked by multiple angry dogs where the sign for sign for public land is posted. He had to use his bike as a shield...

Towards the West end, cows destroyed the trail, while it was muddy. It will be very bumpy, for some time.
