Still had a great time. The sun was out. The dirt was frozen with a ton of traction. It was a great time to be in the woods. Also trail surface is kind of rough and unfinished in quite a few sections. The chute is a fun drop and a relief from being slapped by branches and leaves for about 5 seconds and then it’s back into the thick of it. Would NOT recommend. Need to bring the clippers and the rake and the hand saw next time. Just might! This is a gnarly tech trail and bucks me off the bike every time I ride it. Have ridden it about 6 times in total probably. Always a challenge. Much better when dry in summer because the logs are too slippery when wet. The skinnys can be slippery also and the trail can be hard to see when you get going fast because of the overgrowth. Still a fun trail. I’d bring some bush clearing tools | Wet | view | |

Surface is actually ideal. ( I think this is truly an all weather trail ). Its a fun trail, that I will probably ride a lot more now that it is nicely cleared of overgrowth. May 25, 2021 @ 8:45am May 25, 2021 | mtb Recent trail work on May 8th and May 22nd focused on brushing heavy vegetation overgrowing the trail, trail crews managed to punch thru approximately half of the badly neglected trail so far. Another work party is setup for June. After brushing a number of re-routes and feature work is planned, most likely to be worked on in Fall. Trail is rideable now, but is fairly overgown for the last half. Also a number of mountain beaver holes towards the end of the loop back towards the parking lot to watch out for. Loop is two trails in one, Sickter (old front-half) and Lars (new back-half), they ride very differently, so far only Sickter portion is uncovered.
