A fun, flowy trail, Silent Swamp is good to ride in both directions, but is much more fun in the Northerly direction, starting at the Fully Rigid junction.

To ride South to North, first ride Fully Rigid, then at the junction, go left onto Silent Swamp instead of continuing across the wooden bridge to Joy Ride. This direction allows for a nice extra loop that most people skip. Take Fully Rigid, then Silent Swamp, then head South back up the crossover road, ride Fully Rigid, then continue on to Joyride, to Northwest Timber and the parking lot.

To ride North to South, exit Preston Railroad trail, and head South up the crossover road. The Northern trail junction for Silent Swamp will be just ahead on your left. Then, at the lower Southern end junction, you can either continue down Joy Ride to the parking lot, or go up () Fully Rigid, which is definitely a good tech challenge. Watch for descending riders at high speed however.

Getting overgrown and brushy, with 2-3 trees down spaced evenly along the trail

Could use a brushing. Eye protections is nearly mandatory. Not overgrown bad enough to cause blood sacrifice though.

Hitting the trail the way Trailforks recommends is a lot of fun. Don’t listen to the comments. Don’t do it in the wet though. It’ll be puddle after puddle and it’s not flowy at all. Only worth doing if you are riding inside passage and want to climb up to fully rigid

Pretty overgrown in parts. Wear long sleeves if you don’t want to bleed from thorns.

Looks like it’s fun from the Joyride end to Preston… but riding “up” interesting tech kinda … sucks. This is only a 2 way trail because there’s no other choice.
