The trail is quite technical with only short climbs and decents. The main difficulty consists of being parallel to a steep slope, so that you only can dismount on one side without falling a few meters. It is very narrow at the same time (sometimes only 30cm (10")) und there a many roots and stumps which can't be avoided. Of course you do have the possibility to dismount everywhere and push your bike over the obstacles in case you don't feel secure enough.
The trail is within a forest and lots of branches may be in your way. Therefore wearing glasses/goggles is highly recommended. Being parallel to a popular hiking trail (the Eiderwanderweg) pedestrians a rarely seen on this track.
By car: Start at the free car park at the Flintbek open air bath and follow the only trail into the woods. After 400m (1/4 miles) cross the bridge to your left and turn left at the end of it. Follow the usually owergrown path and take a short but steep climb to the starting point.
Public transport: Starting at Flintbek train station you either ride to the free car park at the Flintbek open air bath and follow the instructions above or you ride to the Brückenstraße and exit it into the forest. You will find the mentioned bridge after a short ride.
