Spion Kop Details
This trail over to Spion Kop passes some culturally sensitive areas to the local indigenous people of the Island including a rock mine where hunting tools were once made.
During breeding season whales have been spotted from this trail. At the end there is a short section of stairs that must be walked to get to the viewing platform.
To access South Molle Island you need to organise a water taxi (we recommend Scamper). The trip is only 10 minutes and will drop you directly at Sandy Bay, one of the designated camp sites, but is tide dependant. Generally you must stay overnight.
Parking at Shute Harbour: $15 per 24 hours
Scamper return transfer including 5 litres of water per person per day $65
National Parks Camping Permit $5.75 per person or $23 per family available on QWPS website
