Sunset is one of the original trails and also one of the most ridden. It starts at the Bike Village and initially heads north. It curves gradually around a ridgeline before heading east and onto a more winding section, mostly through grassland, before ending at the middle Farm Road. It climbs gradually in the first third, drops gradually in the second third and then climbs gradually in the final third. There are a few rocky bits that are challenging, but those unable to ride them can push and remount – it’s worth it because it’s a trail that allows you to gain a good rhythm. It can also be ridden in reverse when the park isn’t busy and is a great way to return from the View Point to the Bike Village. Sunset is part of the Green Route.
From the bike village travel north on Inside Road (main) and when you see the trough jumps turn left.
