Torture Thyme is a 350-meter climbing trail leading to the highest point at The Inlet, serving as a valuable addition for future planned downhill routes.
It climbs through a testing series of about 4-5 tight switchbacks, through a flatter thyme field and rocky boulders, and then continues up the rear of the rocky knoll. Multiple stacked stone walls enable the trail to climb at a reasonable grade across the back of the rocky knoll. Great views from the top.
The name "Torture" reflects the challenges faced during its construction rather than the difficulty of the trail itself.
The trail was built during the winter of 2025 by a group of about 4 frost hardened trail fairies. Initial design and uphill construction were revised, requiring additional work on the rear side of the knob. This resulted in many extra winter dig nights.
The Inlet Trails are on private land. Please respect access and the owner's property.
