This is usually the last climb before heading back to the parking lot after descending Trail 41 (Goat Trail). It climbs up from Oil Well Road to a saddle that overlooks the Salinas River Valley and then drops down to just above the parking lot at Creekside Terrace.

NOTE: Watch for hikers and trail runners as there is plenty of traffic on this trail since it is close to the parking lot.

Access Info

Access via Old Reservation Rd heading South OR Trail 72 (Boy Scout Rd) heading West.

Pretty sandy due to dry conditions. Several sand beds that are traversable on a bike. Use trail 71 for a hardpack alternative for part of it.
