Probably my favorite trail up here. Just gives enough rest between all the little rocky sections to make the flow good, but provide some challenge as you throw your bike up some small sandstone lips, and negotiate some stone wash beds. Half way through the trail you drop onto a huge sand stone slab and the view of Shafer Basin opens up right in front of you, just amazing.

A short ride in one of the most beautiful areas around Moab Utah! Great intermediate riding in Moab.

Rode Twisted Tree doing a CCW loop down from Whiptail. The trail isn’t that different from a whole lot of other really rocky trails in the Moab area. It was, however the most poorly marked trail I have written since I’ve been here. I found it very difficult to maintain momentum and stay on trail in places, especially coming down off some of the technical features when the trail turned, and there were what appeared to be other options for directions. On several occasions, I found myself stopped, looking around, picking up my bike and turning to get back on the trail.
