The Upper Macatawa Mountain Bike Trail (The Upper Mac) is a multi-use trail system that was begun in the fall of 2012 with a roughly 2 mile loop in the ravines of the Ottawa Parks and Recreation’s Upper Macatawa Natural Area. Under the direction of the Michigan Edge Mountain Biking Alliance, (MEMBA), another 1 1/2 mile of intermediate skill level trail was added in the fall of 2013. An additional 2 miles of single track was professionally machine built by Alex Stewart of Spectrum Trail Design in November of 2014.
