Trail runs up against the base of Dry Mountain and above Red Lake following a natural shelf. Connects to the pipeline trail right above Maple Dell Scout Camp on the southern end and Sheepherder Trail just above Santaquin Meadows on the southern end. The northern end is quite braided and sometimes tricky to follow. It is called Vaquero because it connects to Sheepherder and is also used quite heavily in the fall to bring cattle down the canyon.
