Soooo..... Yes you can take a bike here, and you will get a lot of looks and complements/admiration for your brave decision, might be fun in its own way... but I would not recommend it if you are looking for a bike tour where you can ride >70% of the trail without having to carry your bike.
It is a hiking trail, not biking. Did it with my significant other, a lot of carrying the bike (hike-bike)... get the "Trailguide" APP and do other trails. All Norwegens we have met told us that this is an adventure trail and it was!
