mtb SDMB Mt Graham Trail Crew work report July 25 and 26 2026. 18 volunteers and 5 forest service workers worked in spots throughout the 2 mile lower loop on Saturday with a focus on re establishing the connector trail. Sunday 5 volunteers finished off the connector. The lower loop is in decent shape. No down trees. Some rustic spots but areas where the trail had started to renaturalize have been opened up. The connector which is 2 miles in on the lower loop is the best it's ever been. Upper loop hasn't seen work since 2023 but is in decent shape. Want to get involved? Email [email protected]

mtb Thanks to some prep work from the Safford Ranger district most down trees are out and some of brush cleared back. Will see further work on July 24-26 when SDMB will remove larger trees from connector with cross cut saws and improve upper/lower loop connector tread which has become rustic after a couple of years of no maintenance. mtb Trail passable but in rustic shape. Burn piles have been burned so easier to navigate those. Areas of overgrown vegetation and downed trees. 8 small trees and 3-4 larger ones. SDMB will be working on this trail July 24-26th 2026 most likely to re-route the connector trail to make it a less steep and more rideable/hike able. Unknownview

mtb Trail has not seen work since fall of 2023. Last user comment from late May 2024 stated down trees and the burn piles encroaching on the trail. Recommend clockwise but probably not worth riding until crews remove burn piles and log out trail in late fal 2025, hopefully.
