Inspired by DH race tracks of the northeast, this downhill-primary trail takes the flow and features of a downhill race track and scales them down to suit XC and trail bikes. With a twisty, pedally, bumpy top section, fast and flowy middle, then a technical off-camber bottom section this is a great challenge on anything from a rigid singlespeed to a 6-inch full squish bike. Like many of Oneonta's trails Widowmaker has optional jumps, drops, and gaps hidden in plain sight. Mind the gap over the rock garden

Upper Widowmaker can be ridden handily in either direction, but Lower Widowmaker is a bear of a climb. Repeats of the trail can be done by climbing the China Hut Climb back to the top. Alternate descending trail is Glenwood Creek Trail.

It appears that a timber harvest is ongoing. There are many tops down and massive ruts from the skidders.

After logging trail is clear and trimmed. Not the same as 2 years ago but back to being one of the top 3 trails in Oneonta. Stay on track and you will be relatively safe. Dangerous rock drops and features are just off the lower section on trail.
