Top section is very rough and steep, then it continues as a less challenging descent on open alpine meadows. The lower part is continuously steep and technical with lots switchbacks and steps. Also a popular hiking destination, so avoid riding during busy hours

Hiking/pushing up to the start is demanding but if you like technical trails with some flowy parts in between, this trail is for you. I really liked the trail. It is very long and overall challenging but not too much, if you are an advanced rider! But not recommended for beginners. Still double black trail. I here and there lost some of the entrances in the lower part but there are several cool options. After the parking spot in Burgberg there is also a short hand-built flow trail with smaller jumps waiting. Nothing fancy but well built.
Just be aware that Grünten is quite popular with hikers so don’t go on busy hours during the weekend.
