Wounded Snake has so many twists and turns you will travel one mile for every .3 linear mile in the northern and southern ends. The surface varies between hard-packed, sand, though it is not deep, gravel, and short climbs. Parking is available near the intersection of Fina Rd and Northern. The north end of the trail comes out on Connector Trail, which connects with Autumn Roast and Upper Expressway.

 At the southern end, parts of the original trail were blocked by cholla wood. Not sure why.
