The Yeti (lower) runs from the Creag an Tuirc (Turic Rock) viewpoint, down to the forestry track just behind Balquhidder church. It is a mix of loam, roots, steep sections and is probably the most challenging trail in Balquhidder with a good few rocky/techy features and about 5 blind drops of up to about 1.5m high. There's also a nice "triple" drop in the middle, so it's been rated a black, but it's a very "do-able" black for a competent red rider with "ride-around" options at some techy features.
AT THE BOTTOM exit is over a stile to the right as it's is very boggy knee deep mud if you go straight on On your first descent of this trail please ride with care!
TO FIND the Yeti lower trail, ride up the steep forest road behind Balquhidder church, bearing right after 300m at the water treatment plant, following signs for the "Creag An Tuirc". After a further 300m, go through a small gate and push up the final 30metres to the AMAZING viewpoint for a quick pic. To find teh trailhead, start riding from the Cairn, aiming slight right of the loch. The trailhead is marked with a small black disk on a tree with the word Yeti on it.
TO EXIT: Once you get to the end, you will need to lift your bike over a stile on the right and push about 15metres uphill to get back onto the forestry track near the end of the Hippy. Don't be tempted to go straight on instead of crossing the stile - it's knee deep mud
