Brown County Mountain Biking (BCMB) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, developing, maintaining, and promoting mountain biking opportunities in Brown County, Indiana, and the surrounding region. Based in Nashville, BCMB brings together mountain bikers, trail builders, sawyers, advocates, and community supporters to help steward one of the Midwest’s premier mountain bike destinations.

BCMB works in partnership with local and state land managers to build and maintain sustainable trails, with a particular focus on the extensive mountain bike network in Brown County State Park as well as trails in Yellowwood State Forest and the Hoosier National Forest. The organization supports trails ranging from beginner-friendly routes to highly technical terrain, helping provide a diverse riding experience for a wide range of abilities.

The organization relies heavily on volunteers for trail maintenance and stewardship, including regular workdays and a network of trained sawyers. BCMB also advocates for continued investment in trails and cycling infrastructure, organizes community events, and promotes responsible trail use and environmental stewardship. Its annual Brown County Epic serves as both a celebration of the local mountain bike community and a major fundraiser supporting the region’s trails.

Brown County Mountain Biking is closely connected to the broader mountain biking community and works collaboratively with land managers, local government, businesses, sponsors, and other cycling organizations. Its work contributes to Brown County’s reputation as a nationally recognized mountain biking destination, including Brown County State Park’s IMBA Bronze-Level Ride Center designation and Nashville’s 2026 designation as an IMBA Trail Town.
