Chase Trails is a local volunteer group set up over 10 years ago in partnership with Forestry England to build and maintain the mountain bike trails on Cannock Chase, in Staffordshire, England.
Cannock Chase is home to the award winning and highly popular Follow the Dog and Monkey Trail mountain bike trails, as well as Stile Cop's downhill trails. A combination of hand built and contractor built trails, it has taken well over 30,000 man hours from volunteers to build the trails – that's about 3 solid years of work, with no sleep!
Chase Trails volunteers are out most Sundays (check Facebook as we sometimes cancel for various reasons) - come rain or shine - working hard on the trails. Anyone is welcome to help, simply meet outside Cannock Chase Cycle Centre at Birches Valley at 10:30am on Sundays.
The downhill trails are managed by a separate team, the Racers Guild of Cannock Chase, and there's a build day usually around once per month. Dates and times are announced on the separate Stile Cop Downhill Trails Facebook page a few weeks in advance, usually.
Trail Karma Donations: Please note that while we do accept any donations (thank you!), if you're using the Pinkbike Trail Karma system we're not able to give you anything in return. If you visit our website you can sign up for a Chase Trails membership, which for £15 a year gives you various perks including 10% off at Cannock Chase Cycle Centre and/or other local shops (check the website for the latest info, terms and conditions apply).
